Dog Beach 180
Dog Beach 180

12″x11″

Oil on wood panel

During the painting of Dog Beach my eyes kept going back to a space in the woods, just to the left of a small orange leaved tree. The next day I worked my way into that space with my easel and was pleasantly surprised a the vista before me.
The rolling landscape in the background a tree clustered middle ground, full of color with leaves beginning to fall. Unlike Dog Beach Autumn, the sky on this day was cloudless and the only movement in this scene was provided by a current in the water.
