Meadowport Arch 12″x 11″ oil on wood panel The Meadowport Arch was the first source of inspiration for me to want to paint in Prospect Park, in Brooklyn, NY.It is an old limestone archway with vehicle and pedestrian traffic on top and it’s inside is lined with cedar. Echo Arch

Echo Arch 12″x11″ oil on wood panel This arch was fun to paint. Officially named The Cleft Ridge Span, all who pass through seem giddy at its powerful echo, possibly on their way to the 100 year old Prospect Park Carousel. I arrived late in the afternoon and was pleasantly surprised with the clarity and intensity of light and color stretching from the footpath through the arch and into the park.
